Drop-in Pressure Regulator Valve
Fits 1993-15 4L60E, 4L65E, 4L70E
1993 to 2015 General Motors vehicles equipped with the 4L60E, 4L65E, and 4L70E automatic transmissions over time wear out the line pressure regulator (PR) valve bore. As a result, in cases where the wear is most prevalent at the balance end of the valve, the pressure will be unstable. Moreover, if the wear is severe enough, it can result in unregulated high line pressure. On the other hand, in those cases where the wear is most prevalent at the spring end of the valve, the leak in that area would cause low line pressure. For the same reason, the symptoms will vary as well, ranging from harsh shifts, soft shifts, burnt frictions, overheating, to converter clutch failure.
This drop-in precision USA-made steel valve is design to provide full-time line-to-lube, as well as restoring the hydraulic integrity of the circuit without the need to machine the bore. It also features longer spool lands allowing the valve to operate in non-worn portion of the bore. In addition, the longer lands distribute load over a greater surface area for increased durability.
Note transmission removal is required only if unit has ISS “Input Speed Sensor” which started 2006-2007 and up.
